Norbury Junction is located on the Shropshire and Staffordshire border in the heart of rural England, on the picturesque Shropshire Union Canal. It gives access to the the beautiful ancient city of Chester, the Llangollen canal, the Four counties ring and much more.

Just to the south of Norbury lies Telford's famous Shelmore Embankment, which offers spectacular views of the Wrekin. Taking you further to the south you pass over Stretton Aqueduct to Brewood and Autherley Junction where you join the pretty Staffs & Worcester Canal.

Heading north you will pass through Woodseaves Cutting to Tyrley Locks and the historic market town of Market Drayton, home to Clive of India and Gingerbread (Wednesday is market day).

A gentle week's cruise takes you to the Roman Town of Chester or the Boat Museum at Ellesmere Port to view the historic Manchester Ship Canal. For the more adventurous, why not try the wonders of the Four Counties Ring, travel through the Audlem Lock flight, which falls a total of 93 feet and call into a local pub for refreshment.

Travel through the Harecastle Tunnel, it's 2,670 metres long to visit the home of Josiah Wedgewood and visit the Wedgewood Museum and factory shop.

The staff at Norbury will give you a warm welcome at this peaceful, rural countryside setting. They will ensure you have full enjoyment of your holiday and look forward to welcoming you to their base.

1 Week Cruising Rings:
The Four Counties Ring - 94 locks, one week;
The Inland Waterways most popular Ring, giving a lively mix of locks and level cruising. The world famous 2670 metre Harecastle Tunnel. The Wedgewood Visitor Centre, well worth making time for a visit! Market Drayton, the home of Gingerbread! One week requires 8 hours cruising per day and might be a little ambitious for a novice.

The Black Country Ring - 81 locks, one week
Take in the splendour of Cannock Chase and cruise all the way to the heart of Birmingham City Centre. Visit Penkridge, Fradley and Old Turn Junction. This is a great one-week Ring and is achievable cruising 6 hours per day.

There are, of course, many other possibilities depending upon how much time you have available, and how long you want to cruise each day.
